We are looking for Systems/Technical Support: Job Description: This is a client-facing technical position responsible for the stability, supportability, security, project management, and change management of assigned commercial Web hosting client s production systems. Responsibilities include: Monitoring, performance tuning, capacity planning, and maintaining overall device/system/platform health. Provides technical support (on-call 24/7). This specific position focuses primarily on the administration and support. While the position will focus on the overall service, a comprehensive understanding of network design, Server management (UNIX, Linux, Windows), and network management is essential. Knowledge of content distribution networks (CDN), Web acceleration, and streaming are also helpful. In addition to demonstrated technical acumen, strong written and verbal communication skills, diplomacy, and the ability to work well under pressure are essential. Other Responsibilities: Responsible for escalation resolution, creation/tracking/reporting of service remediation plans to the client, providing mentoring (as it relates to client s platform) , facilitate post-outage reviews (POR), manage Service Incident Reporting (SIR) action items, develop/deliver Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to the client, act as quality gate for new deals/gear as delivered by the Hosting Service Delivery Team. Responsible for developing and maintaining all process, procedure, and technical documentation related to the client account as well as coordinating all non-technical aspects of change management, project management, and customer relationship management. This position requires demonstrated experience and expertise in the following areas: Red Hat Linux Sun Solaris Microsoft Windows Server 2000 and 2003 Networking concepts Nortel/Alteon Load Balancing Switches Foundry Load Balancing Switches Cisco Terminal Server Switches Cisco Layer 2 Switches Knowledge of Appliances for Caching Network Appliance Knowledge of Web Acceleration/content caching technologies - Novell Volera, Squid (not required but beneficial) Knowledge of Live and Video on Demand Streaming technologies (Real, Windows Media Service, Flash) In-Depth product/service knowledge Required Skills: Red Hat Linux Expert Sun Solaris Expert MS Windows 2000 Expert MS Windows 2003 Expert Web Cashing Expert Media Streaming Expert Content Distribuion Networks Expert Networking Concepts Expert Load Balancing Expert
