Mainframe Developer Job Description: - We have 30 openings for experienced Development Experts for our Managed Services account for the Client division. - These positions are long-term, lasting 6 months or longer. - We are committed to quick turnaround for these critical positions. Brief Description: - Provide all development and maintenance activities as well as 7x24 callout support. Responsibilities: - Responsible for providing technical system solutions and determining overall design direction including the technical integrity within a subsystem or application and generating maintainable, quality solutions. - Includes documenting system requirements, creating application designs, validating high level designs to ensure accuracy and completeness against the business requirements and programming the solutions. - Attend project meetings when technical advice is needed and communicate the project design to other architects. - Assess the technical feasibility of new technologies to enable integration into existing processes. - Responsible for multiple projects or large complex projects with cross functional teams and business processes including medium to long range planning responsibilities, priorities. Requirements: Required (Expert-level knowledge in the following areas): - Cobol - PL1 - JCL - IMS - DB2 Desired: - Oracle - DB experience - PL/SQL Scripting - Unix Scripting - GUI experience - JSP - Struts - Tiles - Jboss Web Server
