Job Description:
Accenture Technology Solutions is looking for people to join our 4-week Entry Level Training Program in our Chicago, IL location. This program is geared towards individuals starting their career in IT. It covers the latest, in-demand technologies, including Java programming.
During the training, you will deepen your technical skills and learn how, at Accenture Technology Solutions, you can use them to help deliver innovative solutions to Accenture clients. The training uses the latest technology in training and combines computer based learning with group interaction. It is a great opportunity to learn and network.
The Entry-Level Training Program is our primary vehicle for selecting people for Associate Software Engineer roles at Accenture Technology Solutions. People who successfully complete this program may be offered a position as an Associate Software Engineer with Accenture Technology Solutions. So not only will you have the opportunity to strengthen IT skills and learn to apply them in a business environment, you could potentially gain a job at the end of it.
As an Associate Software Engineer, you will be assigned to a client project. Although the training class is conducted in Java, your project assignment may be in another in-demand technology, with additional training provided. Assignments are based on business need, with consideration of individual skills and preference.
Associate Software Engineers will assist with the development, delivery and management of technology-based business solutions. As a programmer, you will work on coding, testing and implementing configuration changes and assist in the design of software applications to meet both functional ad technical requirements.
Must be currently located in Chicago, IL or surrounding area.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
We require one or more training/school courses in programming/software development including training in at least one of the following: C, C++, Visual Basic or Java.
Professional Skill Requirements:
Strong interest in software programming
Ability to work as a team member
Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
Desire to work in an information systems environment
Strong oral and written communication skills
Candidates who are currently employed by a client of Accenture or an affiliated Accenture business may not be eligible for consideration.
