Job Description:

Formulates and defines system scope and objectives, works in all phases of applications, systems analysis, and programming activities. Prepares detailed development requirement and specifications for programs. Responsible for the program design, coding, and testing, debugging and appropriate documentation needed for the application. Has technical knowledge of all phases of applications, systems analysis, and programming. Works with the customer to determine data storage and access requirements and to be able to evaluate and recommend DBMS (Database Management Systems) products (eg, Oracle, SQL (Structured Query Language) Server, Microsoft Access, Documentum, Captiva, Brava, Web services) to support user requirements. Duties include maintenance of database dictionaries, overall monitoring of standards and procedure and integration of systems through database design. Senior Programming/Database Specialist provides guidance and training to less experienced analysts/programmers. Excellent organizational skills are needed. Job Skills: Required Database logical and physical design Oracle (Version 10g) SQL & PL/SQL coding experience Oracle forms Crystal Reports XI experience JetForms experience Perl (Practical Extraction and Report Language) Java JNDI (Java Naming And Directory Interface) JMS (Java Message Service) EJB ( Enterprise Java Bean) JSP (JavaServer Pages) J2EE (Java 2 Platform Enterprise Edition) XML (Extensible Markup Language) (XML schema, WSDL (Web Services Description Language) SOAP (Service Oriented Architecture Protocol) WebLogic (administration, Portal, Integration) Aqualogic (Administration, Enterprise Service Bus, BPM (Business Process Management) Documentum (WSFL (Web Services Flow Language), Content Server, Indexing) Captiva (Administration, Dispatcher, e-Input), Brava, Spring Hibernate. Preferred AIX/Unix experience Creating Shell Scripts Windows XP experience Creating Web Pages Oracle 9i/10g DBA experience Creating user accounts, database links, synonyms, functions, procedures, packages, etc. Oracle Application Server experience (specifically 10g) Source code control system experience preferably MKS but familiarity with CVS & PCVS. Familiarity with government STIGS Oracle certification Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or related discipline preferred. You must be a U.S. citizen. (This support will require an IT-II: NACLC (National Agency Check with Local Credit Check) investigation).
