Job Description
People within the Client Operations-IO workgroup are responsible for the day-to-day provision of long-term outsourcing services to one or several clients. Client Operations is where the majority of Services people reside and, typically, people in the workgroup are based permanently at a client location. Infrastructure Outsourcing (IO) is the ongoing management and/or improvement of activities related to a part or to the whole of a technical infrastructure (eg information systems, security systems, telecommunications networks), allowing companies to focus on their core business and competencies.
SAP Delivery Account Lead assumes overall responsibility for the delivery of SAP Basis technical application services provided by IO Cincinnati Delivery Center to the specific client project team(s). The Account Lead directs and manages a team of resources located in the US and India, controls the project budget for IO services provided, communicates with and helps set technical direction for services delivered out of the Cincinnati Delivery Center. The Account lead is also responsible for expanding the interest of the Cincinnati IO Delivery Center to ensure the success of the Center and its services.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Understand and communicate activities to each of the project(s)/client(s) under the Leads management. - Manage the budget for each service contracted.
- Supervise team members to ensure delivery of work.
- Ensure team members are being developed through appropriate assignments and training.
- Provide role descriptions for each individual on the team to ensure proper understanding of team objectives
- Escalates project issues to delivery center senior management
- Understand overall scope of project
- Responsible for meeting SLA’s defined with the projects/clients
- Completes performance feedback for team members
- Look for additional services that could be sold to support other project needs
- Provide cost estimates to project for additional services
- Manage relationship with project senior executives
- Aware of tasks (i.e. upgrades, conversions, stress testing, etc.)
- Serves as escalation point for serious support issues/problems
- Oversee project and tech leads.
- Maintaining Arrangement Letters & scope of services with project team(s)
Technical Design
- Determine boundary and relationship between technical architecture and application layer.
- Assess the feasibility of an application for a given technical architecture.
- Balance quality requirements against development and maintenance costs in resolving application architecture issues.
- Specify technical design approach and standards.
Technology Architecture
- Review customer’s architecture strategy in order to ensure adequacy.
- Ensure that the architecture supports the requirements of the business process architecture.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in the following:
- Technical design
- Administration
- Management
- 4+ years of SAP Basis experience, preferably in R/3, BW and CRM environments
- 2+ years experience in RDBMS management, preferably Oracle
- 1+ years experience working as a lead in a “Run” environment
- Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Skills:
- Experience implementing successful selling strategies/techniques
- Thorough understanding of process requirements related to operations management
- Financials management skills
- Experience in managing a team located in distributed geographies around the world
