Job Description:
The Business Intelligence Analyst (BIA) is responsible for production support of all BIA applications. Production support includes resolution of daily issues, monitoring of the system and working directly with the following teams: Basis, Shared Services Application Development, BMIC Report Developers, BMIC Functional Analysts, and Shared Services Integrations Architecture, Shared Services Interface Development, and Application Management Functional Teams. The BIA will proactively investigate methods to improve existing processes.
The BIA owns all the reports in a process area. The developer is responsible for the coding, documentation, and testing of software modifications to an existing BW production environment. The developer will also develop new BW functionality from pre-defined specifications. The developer will work with functional teams to model, design, and develop the appropriate back-end structures (including Infosources, ODSs, and Info Cubes) needed to meet business requirements.
Some Key Responsibilities:
- Providing production support for BI backend and report operations, including off-hours and weekends
- Providing development support for existing BW backend and report objects
- Supporting processes and procedures as well as addressing areas for improvement across the team and Sustainment
- Gathering requirements, analyzing, estimating, designing, developing, and testing production enhancements
- Working cooperatively and providing additional support for the following teams: Basis, Shared Services Application Development, BMIC RT Developers, BMIC Functional Analysts, Shared Services Integrations Architecture, Shared Services Interface Development, and Application Management Functional Teams.
- Collaborating with the release teams to understand future requirements and give design, development, and testing guidance
- Preparing for future releases and project needs by scheduling training, reviewing designs, conducting code reviews and occasionally performing build team tasks
- Ensuring SAP, BW, and Accenture standards and best practices are followed on the team and within own area of work
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 1 year experience with Business Intelligence processes (e.g.. extraction transformation/loading, configuration of back end objects, report design, data model design)
- 1year experience in SAP development
- 1 year general IT experience
Professional Skill Requirements
- SAP ABAP
- Experience with Crystal Reporting
- 1 year SAP R/3 SD, MM, FI, APO, or PP experience
- 1 year Manugistics experience
- Experience with government software development
- CMMI
- ADP1 or ADP2 security access preferred
