Job Description:
Responsible for the operations and monitoring of the Microsoft environment, including Exchange, ADS and file shares. Configures & builds Unix Servers following operational and security procedures - RedHat Linux, Free BSD Linux, Solaris Responsible for development and maintenance of OSS and BSS tools written in Perl. Monitors and maintains multiple hardware platforms - Dell (Varied), IBM (Varied), Sun (Varied) Responsible for Multiple mission-critical clusters - Veritas Responsible for deploying and maintaining the (a) data storage infrastructure - SAN and NAS (b) usage and performance reporting infrastructure - Cricket and Smokeping (c) Authentication infrastructure - Integration to ADS, RADIUS, LDAP, Password change management (d) Internal and external DNS infrastructure - Authoritative and Caching nameservers (e) Logging infrastructure - Syslog-ng (f) OOB access management Manages network services - Email, DNS, SSH, DHCP, NTP, DVC, HTTP/HTTPS, Syslog Provides support for (a) systems and security services (b) hardware and software platforms Point of escalation for Unix Systems and Security related issues
