Job Description:
The successful DB2 Developer will be responsible for performing some system administration activities (including working error logs and supporting the testing teams with special program runs which they need in order to test) as well as working on development of database internals.
What will be expected:
The selected candidate will need to have a strong grasp of DB2 internals including extensive experience writing stored procedures, SQL queries, views, functions, tables and other database oriented items. He/she needs a well-rounded background in relational database development and design including strong logical and physical data architecture skills applied in an enterprise environment. Experience supporting and working in a project development and support environment with ability to diagnose and solve problems quickly is necessary. Have an analytical mind and the ability to pay attention to detail, but also have an interest in broader business issues.
