Title: Field Support Desktop Support Tech (Paid on Per Call Basis) Contract Duration: 3 Month Contract to Hire Location: Kansas City, MO Shift: Monday Friday 8:00am-5:00pm Pay Rate: Runs under 50 miles radius pays $25 per call Runs over 50 mile radius pays $32 per call (Average 4-8 calls per day) DESCRIPTION OF POSITION Transactional Technician Position Overview: The Candidate will perform hands-on desktop computer Break/Fix and Simple to Complex Installation, Add, or Change requirements of peripherals & Device Drivers. Completes all assigned service calls with professionalism and technical expertise. Ensures that quality and service level goals are achieved in a timely manner. Completes all administrative duties correctly and promptly. Duties and Responsibilities: - Provides quality customer service and support for designated equipment. - Escalates problems to appropriate next level of support when necessary. - Monitors assigned service calls to ensure timely completion. - Ensures all time reporting and other required reports are accurate and submitted on time. - Meets or exceeds various service levels as established by assignment (calls per day, ETA's, on-time response, administrative call closure, customer satisfaction.) - Responsible for ensuring on-going maintenance and development of positive customer relationships with all business partners and customers. Required Skills and Abilities: As a Level I Engineer/Technician you will be required to have exceptional skills in the following areas: - Minimum of two (2) years documented direct Dell PC and Dell Laptop Hardware Service experience. - Dell certifications. (If they are not Dell Certified must be willing to earn certification). - A Certification - Must have a documented printer experience, preferably Lexmark (6x, 8x, 9x). These are large printers usually (300 lbs) Note: Must have documented hardware break-fix experience with Dell products. They are not looking for help desk support personnel. These individuals must have experience making calls, at least 4 calls per day.
