Job Description:

The Sr. Functional Analyst supports the business units by acting in a HRMS functional capacity in all phases of the Project Life Cycle, for medium to large projects, including post-production support and ongoing maintenance.  The Functional Analyst also serves as a liaison to the user community and continuously gains an understanding of customer operations and how systems are used in support of their operations. 
Functional Analysis and Design
Develops understanding of relevant business processes.
Defines functional requirements for enhancements, fixes, upgrades, and maintenance.
Participates in the design of enhancements, fixes, and workarounds.
Production Support
Participates in the analysis and resolution of production problems.
Quality Assurance
Develops and executes unit, system, and parallel test plans according to project requirements.
Works with users to develop and execute user acceptance test plans.
Approves production migrations according to project involvement.
Training and Documentation
Develops and leads end user training.
Participates with users to develop and maintain documentation of end user processes and procedures.
Documents system functionality, particularly related to new enhancements, as required.
Develops and maintains IT process flow, methodology, and control documentation.
Project and Issues Management
Becomes familiar with the development and project methodology.
Partners with the HRMS Technical Manager to maintain the HRMS IT issues database, creating new issues and tracking the status of open issues.
Works with key users and the HRMS Technical Manager to prioritize and schedule issues resolution.
Manages small and medium size projects according to methodology and using appropriate control tools.
Develops project proposals and estimates.
Participates in the development of capital project charters and cost justifications.
Application Security
Becomes familiar with security policies and procedures.
Works with appropriate users to define and review PeopleSoft HRMS authorizations.
Works with the HRMS Technical Manager to implement security changes.
Required Experience:
A minimum of 3 years working with PeopleSoft HRMS.
Experience working of PeopleSoft HRMS version 8 or higher, including in-depth knowledge of the following modules: HR, Base Benefits, Benefits Administration, and Payroll.
PeopleSoft Time & Labor 8 knowledge highly desirable.
Experience on PeopleSoft HRMS implementations, or other large development projects in PeopleSoft HRMS.
Experience supporting PeopleSoft HRMS in a production environment.
Experience managing small to medium sized projects, including the development and execution of project plans.
Experience with and understanding of standard business processes in human resources, benefits, and payroll.
Experience with PeopleSoft security a plus (version 8 or higher).
Project management experience.
Extensive experience in defining user requirements.
Ability to understand technical tools, such as Application Designer, SQR, Application Engine, strongly desired
Entertainment industry experience a plus.
