People within the Client Operations-AO workgroup are responsible for the day-to-day provision of long-term outsourcing services to one or several clients. Client Operations is where the majority of Services people reside and, typically, people in the workgroup are based permanently at a client location. Application Outsourcing (AO) incorporates skills which support the programming, management and maintenance services required to implement and support new installations or maintain and improve existing legacy systems for our clients.
Job Description:
Join an exciting SOA-based technology project working with a major movie studio. Develop and support applications which enable the manufacturing of theatrical and episodic content for domestic and international distribution. Technologies such as digital asset management, media preview/playback, and media workflow management are leveraged in order to create an integrated production and post-production environment.
Candidates interested in both cutting-edge enterprise applications development as well as an interest in how movies and television shows are created are ideal.
As the The Oracle Systems Analyst, you'll be responsible for the set up, configuration and on-going maintenance of the Oracle database systems across several environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- maintaining and tuning Oracle databases including system parameters, tablespaces, tables, and PL/SQL in single server and clustered environments
- monitoring the performance and stability of installed Oracle database instances on Windows servers and server clusters
- performance tuning SQL and other database objects, as well as supporting the application bug fix team
- participating in application issue investigation including helping troubleshoot daily issues
- provide assistance in the technical design of minor enhancements that rely on new database objects
- assisting with application system testing and regression testing efforts
- include participation in change review processes for database and application changes and assisting with overall data architecture
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 2 years experience in Oracle Database administration including
- 1 year of experience:
- working with Windows Servers and Server Clusters
- migrating and controlling database configuration and object migrations across multiple environments
- Installation configuration of Oracle database server, enterprise edition
- Management and setup of Oracle clusters
- Oracle database maintenance and tuning
- PL/SQL development and tuning
- Bachelors of Science degree; preferably in CS or ECE
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience
- Experience with the software development lifecycle
- Experience implementing any system for a media company
- Experience designing system and enterprise data architectures
- Extensive PL/SQL experience
Skills
- Data architecture
- Windows System administration
- Strong knowledge of Hibernate framework
