People within the Client Operations-AO workgroup are responsible for the day-to-day provision of long-term outsourcing services to one or several clients. Client Operations is where the majority of Services people reside and, typically, people in the workgroup are based permanently at a client location. Application Outsourcing (AO) incorporates skills which support the programming, management and maintenance services required to implement and support new installations or maintain and improve existing legacy systems for our clients.



Team Lead


The Team Lead is responsible for delivering the support, maintenance and development of an application or application module supported by a High Performing Team (HPT). The primary responsibility of a Team Lead is to provide work request and personnel management at a team level, manage performance to quality and service levels. The Team Lead manages the team members’ adherence of standard processes, maintenance of quality and performance to service levels and schedule. The Team Lead works collaboratively with the Application Architect to coordinate project schedules, budgets, work request management, resource planning, and work authorization. The Team Lead participates in functional review and design, and is responsible for Process Excellence within the team.


Responsibilities Include:

Request/Team Management

  • Evaluate, categorize and prioritize requests according to the prescribed process
  • Plan implementation efforts (dates, schedules)
  • Direct team members in development and maintenance efforts and manage overtime
  • Receive, analyze and distribute to the team reports on metrics and any associated work items related to improvement measures
  • Conduct staff meetings on a weekly basis
  • Keep management up to date on all production issues and resolutions
  • Manage administrative tasks (review/approve time reports, status reports)
  • Resource Planning
  • Work collaboratively with Application Architect and management to manage delivery of work requests to schedule, budget, and contract requirements
  • Manage/schedule team resources to work requests and manage work plans
  • Manage workload between team members and identify team capacity requirements
  • Investigate and estimate, with the Application Architect, work request effort
  • Allocate work to appropriate resources based on skills and availability
  • Assist in managing the resolution of issues by Application Specialists
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Esure that best practices/standards are documented, implemented and followed
  • Ensure team members participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement
  • Lead new process development efforts and development of reusable materials
  • Identify improvements for processes, standards, deliverables, etc.
  • Manage staff development of knowledge of client’s business
  • Team Collaboration
  • Provide feedback for team member career development and produce performance evaluations in accordance with performance review cycles
  • Manage and approve training
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings with staff


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in an IS Leadership Role
  • At least 3years of experience with Software Application Lifecycle methods, Processes and Tools
  • At least 3 years of experience with measuring and improving team performance
  • At least 3 year of experience with Overseeing Tracking, estimating, scheduling, assinging and completing IT service request
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate degree - MBA or MS in Computer Science
  • Healthcare experience with hospital/clinical applications
  • Experience with one or more of the following software packages: Epic, Lawson SA, Peoplesoft
