Company Name: Acro Corporation
Required Technical Skills:
Programmer Analyst 3
Job Description:
Contract duration: 7 months
LEAD POSITION FOR A PROGRAMMER ANALYST 3. This new position will primarily be dedicated to leading a maintenance team to support This application uses SQL Server 2000 as the database platform and Visual Studio .NET 2003 (VB.Net language) as the application development tool. This system is currently being rewritten and is due to be completed within eighteen months. This team will be responsible for ensuring that the users are able to continue using the existing application until that time. The individual in this position and his team will assist users with workarounds and manual processes for issues where a program change would not be advantageous at this time. This team will also do minor or emergency revisions to the existing application if no workaround can be established. If it is determined that an enhancement to the existing application will be needed (usually due to legislative mandates), this individual will be responsible for leading the team through an established Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Duties and responsibilities will include: gathering requirements; performing analysis; creating business and functional flow diagrams; writing business and functional requirements for stakeholder approval; designing forms; using SQL Server 2005 to make changes to the SQL Server 2000 database and its data; writing VB code using Visual Studio .NET 2003; and creating views, triggers and stored procedures. This individual should be able to lead the team as well as participate in all aspects of the duties of that team. The individual and the team will also be responsible for writing test plans to test changes made to the application; working with QA and UAT staff to test and resolve any issues; and deploying new versions of the existing ARTS application to each of the environments (Development, QA, UAT, Training and Production.)
