We are recruiting for paid, summer internships in two of our groups:

  • System Integration & Technology Consulting
  • Management Consulting and Integrated Markets
Internships last 10 - 12 weeks and typically begin in late-May/early-June and end in mid-August/early-September.


Recruiters will work to align you with the appropriate group based on your background, qualifications, experience, interest and business demand.


System Integration & Technology Consulting:


Accenture’s consulting workforce is involved in business consulting, process design work and the application of technologies to business. Systems Integration & Technology Consulting professionals are responsible for delivering large-scale, complex programs that marry processes with solution development and technology to enable clients to transform the way they do business.


Accenture management consultants use their industry or functional expertise to identify the business ingredients that can help our clients outperform their peers. Acting as a trusted advisor you could be an essential partner in our clients’ journey to become a high performance business


As an intern in Systems Integration & Technology, you will participate in a variety of roles, including those of a full-time Consulting Analyst. Interns work on client or internal engagements, typically participating in planning, designing and/or installing management information systems. You will foster skills need to help organizations effectively apply technology for competitive advantage.


Working as part of an Accenture client team, intern assignments may include:
  • Assisting in analysis and documentation of as-is capabilities about business processes, people, technology, etc.
  • Assisting in development and testing of new business processes, capabilities, and, as appropriate, their supporting technologies
  • Developing deployment deliverables (communications, training, etc.)
  • Performing application design activities (e.g., writing functional designs)
  • Performing portions of technology architecture and infrastructure design activities
  • Performing portions of technology build, test and deployment activities
Management Consulting and Integrated Markets:

As an intern in the Management Consulting workgroup, you will participate in a variety of roles, including those of a full-time Management Consulting Analyst. You will be at the core of understanding and responding to our clients’ business challenges. You are likely to be involved in a range of activities from assessing a client’s business to performing value analysis in order to identify opportunities for improvement. You may be asked to look at how businesses are structured and what they are capable of delivering, then develop organizational strategies and designs that will enable clients to improve their performance, or transform their organization in a more fundamental way.


As a Management Consulting intern, your typical responsibilities may include:
  • Designing and developing new business processes, capabilities and supporting technologies
  • Conducting industry and client research and analysis to identify new value sources
  • Gathering and documenting technical and functional user requirements and specifications
  • Performing software assessments to support the development of new application and technical architecture
  • Developing communications, training and job aids to assist in change management activities


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • Current undergraduate students with a graduation date between December 2008 and June 2009
  • Current graduate students with a graduation date between December 2008 and June 2009
Job Requirements:
We are seeking highly motivated individuals who meet the following criteria:
  • Many of our internship roles require previous technical and programming aptitude/knowledge
  • Eagerness to contribute in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Desire to work in an information systems environment
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Responsible for transportation and related fees to their work location
  • Track record of outstanding academic performance in one of following preferred majors:
    • Engineering (all disciplines)
    • Computer Science / Computer Engineering
    • Information Systems / Decision Sciences
    • Mathematics / Statistics / Sciences
    • Finance / Accounting / Economics
    • Business Marketing / Management
    • Liberal Arts / Communications
