Key responsibilities may include:
- Leading life, pensions and annuity IT operations, applications and technical infrastructure reviews and re-engineering efforts
- Developing comprehensive Life and Annuity SOA based insurance application architecture and technical architecture designs for leading Life and Annuity insurers
- Project Management –managing the technical aspects of the implementation life cycle of complex, large scale life insurance policy administration projects addressing integration, reporting, development, operations and execution environments
- Providing industry perspective and technical subject matter expertise on technologies, software packages and architectures in use by life insurers on client engagements and proposals
- Participating in the technical evaluation and review of leading vendor software packages covering both front and back office processing
- Supporting Policy Life lead in developing materials which point out the value of our assets, internally and externally
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 years of project management experience
- 6 years of systems integration and implementation experience - Life Systems (preferred); implementation experience in the insurance or financial services industry (accepted)
- 2 years of application or technical architecture design experience
- Bachelors degree in Business or Information Systems
- 1-2 years experience working for an Insurance company or another consulting company
- Experience in JAVA/J2EE, .net, relational databases, XML based integration
Preferred skills:
- 2 years experience in Life Insurance policy administration, or reinsurance
- 2 years experience in SOA architectures
- Experience with ACORD/XML standards and integration

- Ability to meet client travel requirements, up to 100%
- Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
