Overview:
ProLogic, Inc. is currently seeking candidates for a Computer Operations Manager position in Pittsburgh, PA for the ITES contract. The NETL IT Engineering Support (ITES) contract provides IT services and engineering for the National Energy Technology Lab (NETL) in WV, PA, OK, and OR. Contract work includes enterprise architecture, enterprise engineering, sustaining engineering, desktop support, networks, cyber security, and computing facility operations in support of approximately 1600 users.

Responsibilities:
ProLogic, Inc. is currently seeking candidates for a Computer Operations Manager position in Pittsburgh, PA for the ITES contract. The NETL IT Engineering Support (ITES) contract provides IT services and engineering for the National Energy Technology Lab (NETL) in WV, PA, OK, and OR. Contract work includes enterprise architecture, enterprise engineering, sustaining engineering, desktop support, networks, cyber security, and computing facility operations in support of approximately 1600 users.

Additional roles and responsibilities include:
- Manage SLA 's for system availability and data protection recovery.
- Participate in meetings regarding operations service delivery, strategic planning, and IT transition planning.
- Implement methodologies and approaches to the planning, execution, tracking, and reporting of all tasks across the organization incorporating multiple locations.
- Monitor performance and metrics and develop and implement plans for exceeding performance targets.
- Ensure that effective communication and problem management occurs at and between all support tiers and locations.

Qualifications:
Experience:
- 5+ years of relative IT operations experience in a medium sized environment.
- Technical leadership experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems is strongly preferred.
- Technical, ITIL, and/or Project Management certifications are strongly preferred.

Skills:
- Proven ability to manage a small team including project planning, management of daily activities, scheduling, budget, and technical guidance.
- Experience with server and messaging system operations support.
- Experience with Microsoft, Novell, Linux, and GroupWise systems preferred.
- Ability to recommend changes in procedures and processes to improve system availability and services.
- Ability to communicate on a technical level with security, networking, client system, and application support teams.
- Must have professional oral and written communication skills, and expert organizational skills.
