Sr. Graphics Programmer
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position of Senior Graphics Programmer will be responsible for developing and enhancing company graphics technology. This includes developing graphics export tools, asset conditioners, shaders, and run-time engines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Proficiency in C/C++
· Ability to design and implement solutions that are modular and easily expandable
· Extensive experience with 3D Graphics APIs
· Solid Graphics and 3D math experience
· Experience with Graphics tools and exporter such as Maya, MotionBuilder, Photoshop
· Assembly level graphics optimization experience

Sr Programmer
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Evaluate technologies, specify the design code structure, and write application code to develop the core elements for a project.
· Be capable of self-management and be able to act as a mentor/advisor for the more junior members of the programming team. Prior management, scheduling, hiring and disciplining experience of other programmers and/or general personnel is a plus.
· Direct and provide technical leadership and has ability to anticipate and resolve project roadblocks in new product development. Can be the driving force on the programming team and set the technical direction for the project.
· Have good communication skills and serve as primary communication link in order to work closely within the programming team as well as with the art, design, and production/management groups.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must have PSP and/or PS3 programming experience.
· Professional and interpersonal communication (email, phone, face to face). Interface with management, art, and design groups.
· Understanding programming process and basic workflow of receiving tasks and communicating task status/completion. Applicant has knowledge of good software practices, works efficiently and independently.
· In-depth understanding of and experience with current data structures, algorithms and methodologies. Strong C/C++ and assembly language programming skills. Strong 3D graphics skills. Extensive knowledge of production development tools including compilers (e.g. gcc), build tools (make), IDEs (Visual Studio), source code and asset control systems (SourceSafe, AlienBrain) and integration with 3d editing packages (Maya). Ability to write efficient, clear, maintainable and portable code.
· Research, analyze, and write up of technical design and implementation documents.
· Skills equivalent to B.S. in computer science and/or five to ten years of industry experience. One or more published titles or equivalent industry experience.
· Ability to write efficient/compact code on console systems with limited resources
· 5+ years of game programming experience
· Cross-platform game programming experience
· Must have strong understanding of hardware accelerated graphics programming and next-generation graphics techniques
· Knowledge of entire asset pipeline path from Maya to game hardware
· Competent in all aspects of graphics programming—from exporting the models/textures, to in game high level code, to low level rendering code (shaders/dma/etc)
· Experience in Cg or equivalent shader languages
· Familiar with advanced vertex and pixel shader techniques
· Experience programming the Cell SPU and Nvidia GPUs is a plus
· Ability to communicate complex technical issues in verbal and written form

Sr. Software Engineer (C/C++)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Identify target areas for development and performance optimizations. This will include the audit and analysis of the existing code base.
· Analyze the problem space and be able to both suggest and accept business-appropriate solutions. Propose measures to enhance and optimize the overall scalability of the system. This includes analysis of network latency, bandwidth overhead, CPU utilization and memory consumption.
· Implement solutions specific to target hardware that includes platforms not limited to state-of-the-art, modern n-way multi-core systems; standard, off-the-shelf linux boxes; and resource-limited gaming consoles.
· Validate solutions. Generate and interpret benchmarks to quantify the solution for performance and correctness. Evaluate changes to optimize the solution.
· Integrate unique experience and knowledge into an established group of engineers without bringing disruption to the group and project schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Professional and interpersonal communication (E-mail, phone, face to face). Interface with other company groups (Tools and Tech, FPQA, PDSG, IT, etc…).
· Understand the basic programming process… characterizing the problem, formulating a strategy; identifying and scheduling the required tasks, qualifying and documenting the solution. Applicant is knowledgeable of good software practices, revision control systems, and works efficiently and independently.
· Multithreaded C/C++ programming of a largely asynchronous distributed system, in Unix and Windows environments (PS2 coding a plus). Network and real-time system programming. Ability to write efficient, clear (and well-commented), maintainable and portable code. Knowledge of development environments such as Linux and Windows, and tools including compilers (e.g. gcc), build tools (make), IDEs (Visual SlickEdit), source code and asset control systems (Subversion).
· Analyze, design and implement technical solutions to complex problems. There will be a strong emphasis on verification that the solution is correct and works in real world conditions.
· Pervious experience in the gaming industry is always desirable, but more important is a history of working with asynchronous and concurrent processes at a micro level and with global scale networking at a macro level
