Job Description:

This great smaller VAR, is wanting to grow the Seattle office. They will keep you on the cutting edge, lots of training on the latest and greatest. Come help them grow, they treat there people very well. Provide Pre-sales Technical Sales Support to Account Executives for hardware and software based solutions for our product offerings primarily from Network Appliance, VMware, Sun Microsystems, Symantec Software and other primary vendors (Estimated 60%) - X Primary role for gathering technical information to develop provided solutions - XGather pre-sales site information and estimate project scope forinstallation/integration, both in conjunction with sales force membersfor both systems and service solutions - Provide implementation services of hardware and software based solutions for product offerings primarily from Network Appliance, VMware, Sun Microsystems, SymantecSoftware and other primary vendors (Estimated 30%) - Attend and acquire, on an ongoing basis, training sessions and manufacturer certifications (Estimated 10%) - Conduct all Consulting Services related business in an appropriate and customer-focused manner - Track, organize, and conduct projects and assignments efficiently - Develop and maintain relationships with customer and vendor technical contacts Experience Level: 5 Years Requirements: Experience Required - Minimum of 8 years in hardware technology and Unix platforms (preferred Solaris) - Minimum of 4 years in a Consultant, Sales Engineer, or Post Sales Engineer Skills Required: - Must have strong verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor dialog to targeted audience - Must have strong oral and written communication skills, includingexperience in writing documentation, assisting with SOW development, and written correspondence with customers and vendors - Must be detail-oriented - Must have the ability to estimate scope and effort accurately in order to prepare level of effort (LOE) documents - Strong interpersonal skills are required to for effective communication with internal team members, customers and vendors - Strong understanding and experience with Network Appliance? s storage products - Strong working knowledge and experience with VMware, Microsoft, Linux and Solaris operating systems - Strong knowledge and experience with storage solutions from the major storage vendors (HDS, EMC, IBM, LSI) - Extensive knowledge of SAN architecture and implementation, iSCSI, and NAS technologies (Brocade) - Knowledge of Backup and Recovery technologies, including tape and disk products (NetBackup, TSM) - Technical knowledge and understanding of methodologies for achieving HighAvailability, including clustering; working knowledge of a Unix-basedclustering product is a plus (VCS, Sun Cluster, HACMP) - Working knowledge of Enterprise security practices and products Education & Certification Required - Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, CIS or MIS, or Electrical Engineering - Current vendor certifications are a plus
