Senior Infrastructure/Platform Engineer - London/Hybrid - £65 - £85,000 per annum

A leading and rapidly growing Professional Services organisation in London is looking to bring on a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their newly created SRE and Projects Team.

The role will focus on the design and implementation of scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions.

The ideal candidate for this role would be an expert Infrastructure generalist with a background working with on-premise administration and has an understanding of infrastructure architecture and an eagerness to solve complex technical challenges in a project environment.

Responsibilities:

• Work with various teams to translate organisational needs into infrastructure solutions.
• Evaluate system performance and troubleshoot issues in order to optimize infrastructure for maximum efficiency, security and uptime.
• Manage and support storage solutions and ensure efficient data backups.
• Implement and maintain system security measures, including user access controls. Contribute to a design methodology that promotes security as 2nd nature.
• Improve automation and streamline system administration workflows. Ideally by using tools like Ansible for Scripting and configuration management.
• Evaluate new technologies and tools that could enhance system performance and efficiency.

Experience:

• Significant Microsoft infrastructure design and administration experience
• Considerable On Prem environment knowledge and experience
• Expert Active Directory and Group Policy management and administration
• Strong Virtualisation skills (VMware)
• Storage, HA load balancing and Backup management
• Knowledge of Ansible or Terraform
• Automation and Scripting skills
