Senior Project Manager (WiFi & Networking) (Contract)

Location: Bristol Country: UK Rate: £525 - £550 per day + Negotiable
 

Senior Project Manager (IT Infrastructure WiFi & Networking)

Duration: 6 months

Location: Bristol & remote (hybrid working)

Rate: £550 per day (negotiable)

Start: ASAP

IR35 Status: Inside

A Senior Project Manager is required with IT Infrastructure WiFi & Networking project experience for our higher education client. As the Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for part of the overall programme scope which spans a number of workstreams reporting into and supporting the Programme Manager.

Responsibilities include:

Oversee and drive the execution of activities against baseline plans.

Ensure dependencies are tracked and delivered in line with baseline plans.

Ensure risks and issues are tracked and managed, take ownership of timely resolution.

Act as a point of escalation for Project Managers and Implementation Officers.

Provide, Guidance, Support and Mentoring to Project Managers and Implementation Officers.

Provide clear and concise weekly and monthly updates/reports to key stakeholders.

Ensure all 3 vendors are adhering to their commitments in terms of delivery against their responsibilities.

Ensure any/all works are in-line with the Client's CDM/H&S polices.

Essential skills & experience required

As the Senior Project Manager you will possess the following skills & experience:

Professional Project Management Qualification eg, Prince2, APM

Minimum of 8 years demonstrable Project Management experience

Experience working with and managing multiple 3rd Parties

Experience delivering complex IT infrastructure projects - Wi-Fi & Networking

Planning, Risk and Issues Management, Budget Control, Dependency control and management

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Agile and Waterfall experience

A proven ability to deliver projects on time, to the required level of quality, and in accordance with the brief.

The appropriate skill and experience to manage and read dynamic/developing situations

Resilience to change and eagerness to find resolutions to problems.

Experience of, and ability to administer works in accordance with the contractual documentation

Commitment to health and safety and continued improvement including a working understanding of the CDM regulations

Any previous experience of working within the higher education sector is desirable

Please note: You will be required to be onsite one day per week for this role; however you may be required to attend meetings at other client sites in Bristol if/when required
