AWS Security Architect - 6 months Contract - Inside IR35 - Hybrid Working
We are seeking an experienced AWS Security Architect to join a market-leading UK bank for a 6-month contract role, signed off inside IR35. This position offers hybrid working, with office locations in Swindon or London, requiring presence on-site for 3 days a week.
Your primary responsibility will be to design and implement robust security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure system integrity. Your expertise in AWS and workload protection is crucial for safeguarding against threats and vulnerabilities. You will collaborate with various teams to align our security architecture with industry best practices and regulatory requirements, enhancing the organization's overall security posture.
Key Responsilbites:
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to secure AWS workloads
- Implement best practices for securing Amazon EC2 instances, Amazon RDS databases, and other AWS services
- Design and configure Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) environments
- Set up Network Access Control Lists (NACLs) to control inbound and outbound traffic and apply subnetting principles for secure network segmentation
- Implement client-side encryption for data stored in Amazon S3 buckets
- Produce Detailed Threat models after reviewing technical design documents
What you will Ideally Bring:
- Should have proven experience as a Security Architect working in a large, complex organization. Ideally, this experience would be within a financially regulated enterprise (eg, PCI compliance)
- Good understanding of AWS services and security features
- Previous relevant experience in working with VPC, NACLs, and subnetting
- Be able to understand and assess the security elements of technical designs/solutions and have a proven ability to constructively challenge to deliver better business and security outcomes
- AWS Certification (Nice to Have)
