Business Systems Analyst (Permanent)

Location: Southampton, Hampshire Country: UK Rate: £40k - £43k per annum

Are you looking to join a team of experts, whose knowledge, ideas, and technology have transformed the logistics business. You will join the UK's largest maritime business to help shape the future of the ever-evolving world of logistics and be part of something truly special.

Your new role
You'll be joining an IT department, where they are looking for an agile Business Systems Analyst to predominantly act as the interface between the business, development teams, customers and external vendors by providing analysis, solutions and support to enable the business to operate effectively, alongside providing support to the project teams.
You'll be required to review and document business processes, whilst identifying requirements for change requests. Alongside this, you'll be resolving EDI messaging issues and requirements, including managing the day-to-day messages and performing data fixes. You'll be part of the application testing and follow up on issues with both internal developers and external vendors, whilst creating and maintaining the testing, training and specification documents. You'll also be required to manage internal auditable processes to meet the companies Sarbane Oxley requirements.

What you'll need to succeed

You will need to be self-motivated and have a customer-focused approach to dealing with problems, demonstrating previous experience in analysing & documenting business requirements. Whilst having excellent verbal and written communication, clear logical thinking skills and being able to manage multiple projects at anyone time. Additionally, you'll have a good understanding of project life cycles and application support would be beneficial to be successful in this role
