Application Support Analyst (Permanent)

Location: City of London Country: UK Rate: £65k - £75k per annum
 

Application Support Analyst

An Application Support Analyst is required for a highly established Lloyd's market insurer. The application support team, support a variety of insurance applications that have been built both in-house and purchased from a vendor. They are nearing the end of a major IT transformation and this role is needed to help with this next phase of the transformation.

You will come from an IT Application support background with experience using SQL. You will have an understanding of the Lloyd's market having previously worked for a Lloyd's insurer as an Application Support Analyst. You will have stakeholder management skills as you will need to interact with both internal teams and external vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as an experienced Application Support Engineer
  • Supporting insurance applications
  • Having ownership of several applications
  • ITIL Lifecycle and Service Design
  • Strong SQL skills working with databases.
  • Work well within a small and highly competent technical team.
  • Be able to communicate well at a business level.
  • Interested in making suggestions on how to optimize processes.

Skills:

  • Experience working in Application Support or Service team support.
  • Experience with Insurance Applications and services
  • Technical Skills on SQL products or Database
  • Excellent communicator on a business level
  • Insurance domain market knowledge desired
  • Enthusiastic and analytical approach
