Junior Project Manager - Supply Chain Optimisation (Contract)

Junior Project Manager - Supply Change Optimisation Hybrid

Our retail client are looking for a Junior Project Manager to join them on a 6 month contract basis.

The breadth of this programme is significant and they need someone who is good at 'joining the dots', has strong interpersonal skills (as it involves liaising with multiple business leads, workstream owners and stakeholders), and is well structured and organised would be well suited. A background in Grocery or Supply Chain would be highly beneficial.

Description of the project:

  • Supply Chain Optimisation is running 20 workstreams to deliver net cost savings of £7m this year and £20m the following years. Workstreams are at differing levels of detail and phases of the project life cycle.

Essential qualifications/experience:

  • Highly self-motivated
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge & understanding of the principles of project management
  • Interest in business and IT change
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to communicate and liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders
  • Ability to write reports and present data in a clear manner for different audiences
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks appropriately in a fast-paced work environment
  • Flexible and responsive to changing priorities or circumstances
  • Good analytical skills
