NEC Housing Test Manager (Contract)

Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire Country: UK Rate: £500.0 - £550.0 per day (Outside IR35)
 

We are recruiting a NEC Housing Test Manager on a 3-month initial contract (extensions likely) paying circa £500pd (Outside IR35), working with our local council client on a long term key project. This role is hybrid with no fixed days per week but are as needed.

What you will be working on:
We are looking for a consultant to oversee and execute the testing phase of the NEC Housing system implementation. You must be experienced at managing an NEC Housing implementation. You could be either a Test Manager or a Project Manager with experience of the NEC Housing test phases. The candidate must be hands-on, pragmatic, and able to embed themselves efficiently into the programme team.

You will be reviewing the migration approach and validating the mapped data and processes:

  • Act as the lead officer when liaising with NEC about issues and taking ownership for the successful resolution of problems.
  • Reviewing and refining our test schedule, working with the Programme Team and the Delivery Managers of each module (rents, customer service, allocations, estates etc)
  • Act as lead for testing sessions; managing the execution of the test schedule, coordinating testers, guiding them through the process, and supporting them during test activities.
  • Identifying and documenting issues raised during testing, with a view to working with in-house teams and the supplier to reach an acceptable resolution for any faults.
  • Updating and maintaining the test tracker power app, with up-to-date stats on the status of test scripts and tests completed.
  • Coordinating with our infrastructure team and Delivery Managers to schedule end-to-end test runs.

What we are looking for someone with:

  • Vast experience with the Northgate/NEC Housing in testing and data.
  • Experience of designing, running and fixing test scripts on a data migration to NEC Housing system.
  • Managing the execution of the test schedules for the NEC Housing system, working with 3rd parties and internal stakeholders to deliver efficiently.
  • Experience of updating and maintaining Test Tracker Power Apps.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders and drive projects forward.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence, with all levels of seniority.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision
