PowerBI Developer - Climate Risk (Contract)

PowerBI Developer - Climate Risk | Long-term project - Banking Enterprise

Our client is one of the largest Dutch banks, committed to implementing sustainable practices and mitigating climate risks. They are seeking a highly experienced analyst and PowerBI tooling expert with a passion for sustainability to join their team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing the bank's climate strategy by setting up data-driven sustainability reporting and dashboarding. The focus will be on delivering actionable insights and tools to support Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting, particularly for the bank's Commercial Real Estate (CRE) customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and develop PowerBI dashboards to provide insights into sustainability metrics.
  • Develop and extend existing PowerBI dashboards or other tooling to enhance user understanding and management of CRE portfolio.
  • Set up data models for PowerBI dashboards, focusing on physical and transition risks related to climate change.
  • Provide technical advice on improving data models for monitoring CO2 intensity using PCAF methodology.
  • Offer technical guidance on the utilization of Power Automate for process automation.

Profile:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Data Modeller and Analyst, preferably within the banking or financial sector.
  • Expertise in PowerBI, with a focus on data visualization and dashboard development.
  • Possession of the PowerBI PL300 certificate is a must-have.
  • Strong willingness to share knowledge and collaborate within the team.
  • Affinity with sustainability and climate-related issues is highly desirable.
