Digital Lead - IT Programme & Project Management (Permanent)

Location: Norfolk Country: UK Rate: £58k - £68525.0 per annum

Your new company
I am delighted to be exclusively partnering with an NHS Trust in Norfolk who are going through a large scale infrastructure programme, and are looking to appoint a permanent Digital Lead to act as a key member of a collaborative cross-departmental team. Working on a hybrid basis in Norfolk (2-3 days on-site, visiting other Trusts, attending conferences, etc), you will help to deliver digital transformation across multiple projects within the programme and embed new digital ways of working to optimise digital tools as part of the larger programme.

Applicants will require project and programme delivery experience within an NHS Trust or NHS organisation, and should be able to work in an agile and collaborative manner with a cross-functional transformation team, to deliver highly technical and innovative projects.

Your new role
This exciting job opportunity offers you the chance to work alongside the Project Director and other key stakeholders across clinical and operational teams, to develop an innovative digital strategy that utilises technology and data-driven insights to enhance patient care and improve operational efficiency.

In this new role, you will:

  • Define IT requirements to meet the scheme model of care.
  • Integrate digital technologies into scheme design, planning and operations.
  • Translate national requirements for specific digital targets into fully costed business cases with preferred vendors.
  • Identify vendors and solutions to help meet requirements.
  • Work closely with BAU Digital/IT Team to design digital systems and technology training and ongoing support.
  • Stay up to date with emerging digital health technologies and innovative solutions that could improve patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with IT governance frameworks and regulatory requirements governing data privacy and security.
  • Adhere to healthcare IT standards, HL7/FHIR, to allow for interoperability and data exchange.
  • Develop all innovation in conjunction with and in support of the Trust's Digital Security strategy and policies.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this job role, you will have:

  • Good knowledge of interoperability standards and HIE
  • A solid understanding and working experience of healthcare-specific systems, eg EHRs, PACS, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of IT Project Management, infrastructure and networking.
  • Strong knowledge of cyber security protocols and best practices.
  • The ability to work autonomously and to deadlines
  • Experience working as part of an integrated team.

What you'll get in return
This permanent opportunity offers a competitive salary of £58,000 - £68,525 per annum (Band 8b) and offers a hybrid working pattern. Due to the nature of the role, you will be on-site in King's Lynn or attending conferences and other hospital trusts 2-3 days per week, depending on meetings, workshops, research opportunities, etc. Other benefits include the opportunity to join the NHS pension scheme, learning and development opportunities, health service discounts and benefits, staff awards and recognition, automatic foundation trust membership, etc.
