Azure SQL Data Engineer FTC (Contract/Permanent)
Location: City of London Country: UK Rate: £45k - £48k per annum

The role: They are looking for a Azure SQL Data Engineer to assist with the seamless integration of data from multiple sources into and out of their Azure Data Lake. You will be responsible for maintaining the flow of data through various ETL steps and ultimately integration into Salesforce NFP Cloud and Marketing Cloud. This role requires experience in data management technologies, particularly Azure Data Lake administration and Azure Data Factory and Functions.

The key skills my client are looking for:

  • Experience performing complex data transformations at scale.
  • Competency in Azure SQL data technologies including Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure Data Explorer, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Functions.
  • Experience in data cleansing and transformation, able to identify and resolve data quality issues.
  • Strong SQL Skills for data extraction and transformation: T-SQL, KQL, C#, Powershell, and Python
  • Understand and interpret the data models of un-familiar OLTP systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams (both technical and non-technical).
