Location: Edinburgh, Scotland Country: UK
Spring Batch Developer
Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires Principal Engineer/Spring Batch Developer to be based at their client's office in Edinburgh, UK.
This is a hybrid role - you can work remotely in the UK and attend the Edinburgh office 2 days per week.
This is a 6+ month temporary contract to start ASAP
Day rate: Competitive Market rate
Key Responsibilities
- Must be able to convert Mainframe batches in spring batches
- Implementation of Microservices
- Set up/Configure environment for Microservices
- Participate in Daily Scrum Calls
- Monitor testing activities and provide support
- Support Production implementation activities
Key Requirements
- Experience in Java Spring Boot Framework, Spring Batch and implementation of micro-services architecture and RESTful web services
- Experience in converting Mainframe batches into Spring Batches
- Strong communication and presentation skills, Client facing role
- Good problem solving and analytical skills
- Work with the team using Agile methodologies
