Oracle Database Administrator (Contract)

Location: London Country: UK Rate: £650.00 per day
 

Oracle Database Administrator required to work with a government department. This is an initial 12 -month contract, paying £650 a day, inside IR35, Hybrid working 1-2 days in the office (National based locations).

This role is SC Cleared: Candidates who hold an active SC Clearance are encouraged to apply.

Main Responsibilities:

We need talent to join our Application Operations team, alongside other DBAs, and Oracle professionals, to help us manage this estate, proactively keep it operational, and modernise our services (including migration, building new environments, patching, and upgrading).

Essential Skills:

  • Experience with managing Oracle Database 11g, 12c and 19c on Linux
  • Experience of managing Oracle Weblogic and Oracle HTTP Server
  • Experience working with large databases
  • Experience of Oracle Automatic Storage Management
  • Experience of working with Microsoft Azure and AWS
  • Experience with working with Backup and Recovery (RMAN, Datapump, Flashback database)
  • Experience of managing High Availability Databases
  • Experience of managing Oracle Data Guard
  • Experience of performance tuning large databases
  • Experience of installations, upgrades and patching
  • Experience of providing 3rd line Oracle DBA support
  • Experience in DevOps techniques and technologies
  • Experience in Database programming languages such as PL/SQL, SQL
  • Experience of configuration/automation/continuous integration tools (Ansible/Github
