TEKsystems are currently engaged with a Tier 1 Global Financial Services company that are looking to hire a Solutions Engineer. The successful candidate will have a vital role in shaping future strategy and direction within the organization.

Description:

Support for low level design and build of server hardware (Virtual machine and physical Servers), including partnering with other infrastructure teams for layered product install and Databases

Drive server and layered product build automation

Manages multiple projects or a single complex project

Partner with Core Technology Infrastructure (CTI) Platform Engineering to drive improvements in Cloud build automation, including OS patch upgrade tools like LEAPP

Required Skills

Extensive experience in some or all of Distributed Operating Systems, Databases, Middleware, Mainframe and Data Networks.

Experience of large scale complex projects

Ability to help drive automation using python or terraform

Soft Skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills and relationship building skills.

Experience providing end to end design guidance and oversight for large scale initiatives.

Ability to lead a team through technical challenges both tactically and strategically.

Experience translating product roadmaps and key technical strategies and direction

Technical aptitude - has the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies, applications

A Self-motivated, hands-on, driven individual
