We're working with a business that's investing heavily in data science to drive smarter, faster decision-making across its supply chain. They're looking for a Senior Data Scientist to design and deploy machine learning models that have a clear, measurable impact on efficiency, productivity and cost.

This role sits at the intersection of data, engineering and the business. You'll work closely with data engineers, product teams and senior stakeholders to turn complex data into practical solutions that actually get used.

What you'll be doing

  • Design, build and deploy machine learning and advanced analytics models focused on supply chain use cases

  • Work with large, complex datasets from multiple internal and external sources

  • Partner with Data Engineering on data quality, pipelines and production-ready models

  • Validate, monitor and continuously improve deployed models to ensure reliability and performance

  • Translate technical outputs into clear insights and recommendations for non-technical stakeholders

  • Support prioritisation and delivery of data science workstreams

  • Build business cases by quantifying impact on supply chain KPIs and financial outcomes

  • Mentor and guide junior data scientists, promoting best practice across the team

  • Explore and apply emerging technologies, including generative AI, where they add real value

What they're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in data science or applied machine learning

  • Strong hands-on experience building and deploying ML models in production

  • Solid understanding of MLOps and model life cycle management

  • Experience working closely with engineers and business stakeholders

  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and pragmatically

  • Supply chain experience is a big plus, but not essential
