Our client, a leading OEM manufacturer, is looking for an IT Technician to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a global team. With sole responsibility for several EU sites, this role will encounter a broad spectrum of tasks and trouble shooting scenarios. Reporting into the US team, you will also have support in the UK, however will be given the autonomy to work independently allowing you to apply your skills and expertise to a variety of businesses systems. This role will be based in their facility in Washington.

The IT Technician Role

As IT Technician, your primary focus will be on troubleshooting technical issues specialising in resolving often complex technical support issues, such as diagnosing and repairing hardware-related problems and/or in-depth troubleshooting network configurations.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
  • Provide support in a face-to-face capacity, over the phone or via remote desktop software.
  • Helping staff or clients set up systems or resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate notes and issue statuses within the ticketing system.
  • Guide users through troubleshooting steps and provide clear instructions to resolve technical issues.

About You

This is a fantastic opportunity for an IT Technician who enjoys problem solving, critical thinking to support staff or clients set up systems or resolve issues. This role would suit an experienced and confident 2nd line support technician with at least 3 years of experience in help desk support.

Other requirements include:

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills,
  • Proficiency in problem-solving and critical thinking
  • Ability to swiftly diagnose and resolve technical issues
  • Eagerness and aptitude for learning new technologies and seamlessly integrating them into existing systems.
  • Proven experience in a customer support role, preferably in an IT service desk environment.
  • Proficient in workload management using ticketing systems
