Hybrid (London office 3 days a week)

Up to £700/day inside IR35

Cititec Talent are partnered with a leading, multinational bank and are seeking a talented Software Engineer to their team in support of electronic trading within the Commodities sector. As part of the eCommodities squad, you will collaborate with a DevOps team to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet best practices and non-functional requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the eCommodities squad within the Commodities, Non-linear, and Capital Markets area to develop solutions supporting commodity trading, focusing on pre-trade processes such as Client-Sales-Trader workflow and automated pricing.
  • Contribute to the development of applications and services primarily hosted on the Azure cloud platform.
  • Engage in development activities primarily based in London, with coordination and collaboration with development teams elsewhere in Europe.
  • Work closely with global Commodity sales and traders to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions.

Requirements:

  • Strong .NET C# coding experience.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Azure services including Bicep, Networking, Service Bus, App Service, Functions, and Cosmos DB.
  • Experience with microservice architecture and Angular/TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) principles using tools like xUnit and SpecFlow.

Desirable Experience:

  • Familiarity with Domain Driven Design (DDD) principles.
  • Experience in financial products/derivatives, preferably Commodities.
  • Previous exposure to Front Office or electronic trading systems and associated workflows.
