Vendor Manager/Risk Manager (Contract)

Vendor Manager/Risk Manager | Long-Term Project | Financial Enterprise
This position involves managing information security risks across all stages of vendor relationships, including reviewing and improving the quality of assurance reports issued by third parties. Collaboration with internal functions such as legal, compliance, and procurement is essential for managing the IT security aspects of contracts with third-party; and we need someone who can provide give their insights and advise stakeholders on which vendors are being safe and following the correct security protocols.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage relationships with IT vendors, ensuring their performance aligns with contractual security obligations.
- Conduct Vendor Security Risk Assessments and implement necessary actions, prioritising risks relevant to the business context.
- Identify and effectively manage information security risks throughout the vendor relationship life cycle.
- Evaluate the relevance and quality of assurance reports from third parties, striving for continuous improvement in reporting and service standards.
- Coordinate the IT security aspects of contracts with third-party providers, collaborating with internal stakeholders such as legal, compliance, and procurement.
- Proactively address security inquiries, escalating issues when necessary, and suggest improvements to team processes to enhance service excellence.
- Stay updated on current cyber security trends and technology developments, sharing insights with colleagues and contributing to assessment program enhancements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or higher degree from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency in project management within supply chain security or Third-Party Security Risk Management.
- Experience in conducting information security risk assessments.
- Familiarity with security processes, technology architectures, network security, application security, and vulnerability management.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Self-driven and organized with a commitment to task completion.
- Ability to translate technical risks into business terms and vice versa.
- Customer-focused approach with a willingness to provide internal consultancy services.
