SAP DRC Consultant (E-Invoicing & Statutory Reporting)

Next Ventures are currently executing a search for a SAP DRC E-Invoicing SME for a new contract role in Sweden (remote working).

Applicants should hold a EU or UK passport holders and be open to EU travel and client visits (minimal).

Start date ASAP, within 2-4 weeks max

As an SAP DRC Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting global e-invoicing and statutory reporting solutions using SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC). The role focuses primarily on SAP DRC Cloud Edition for e-Invoicing, ensuring compliance with country-specific regulations and seamless integration with SAP S/4HANA (On-Premise) and external tax authorities.

You will act as a subject matter expert for e-invoicing processes and support multi-country rollouts across Europe and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and implement SAP DRC Cloud Edition for e-invoicing (statutory reporting to follow).
• Design and manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) e-invoicing flows.
• Implement and support Peppol Exchange for B2B and B2G compliance where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with local and global regulations (eg Romania, Serbia, Spain, Italy, Denmark, Belgium, Poland, India).
• Monitor document statuses in SAP DRC; troubleshoot, reprocess and resolve errors.
• Integrate SAP DRC with SAP CPI, SAP VIM, IDoc and custom interfaces, including tax authority integrations.
• Perform end-to-end testing and support global rollout activities.
• Prepare functional and technical documentation and deliver training to stakeholders.
• Act as an SME for e-invoicing and statutory reporting topics.
• Define and execute archiving strategies and retention policies.
• Perform system housekeeping activities, including cleanup of job logs, interface tables and temporary XML files.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP DRC Cloud Edition.
• Solid background in SAP S/4HANA (FI, SD, MM).
• In-depth knowledge of global e-invoicing regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience with SAP CPI, IDoc processing, and XML formats.
• Familiarity with the Peppol network and B2G/B2B e-invoicing mandates.
• Strong monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolution skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience defining and implementing archiving strategies.
• Understanding of tax compliance frameworks across EU and APAC regions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage business and technical stakeholders effectively.
• Experience working in global rollout or multi-country programs.
