The Apple Service Engineering (ASE) team builds and provides systems and infrastructure that power Apple's services (such as iCloud, iTunes, Siri, and Maps). We are the foundation on which Apple's software developers build the products that our customers love. Our services have to scale globally, stay highly available, and just work.' • Partner with teams across Apple to develop features and functionality that enable Kubernetes clusters to meet their needs around container orchestration.
• Improve the scalability, availability, and performance of our services centered around Kubernetes.
• Evolve the design and architecture to support continued growth while ensuring customer satisfaction and smooth operations.
• Partner with SRE to triage, investigate, and remediate production issues.

• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering-related field, or equivalent related experience.
5+ years of experience in distributed systems, container orchestration, or cloud infrastructure engineering.
• Strong experience with building and scaling core components of Kubernetes or similar orchestration systems.
• Experience with Kueue, Yunikorn or related technologies to increase efficiency of Kubernetes clusters preferred.
• Highly proficient in Golang.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

• Ability to drive a project from a simple idea to production.
• Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $171,600 and $302,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
