project44 is looking for a Senior Software Engineer 2 to join our engineering team. You will work in a fast-paced Agile environment designing, building, and implementing best-in-class integrations to accelerate how project44 connects to the world's logistics networks.

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Implement event-driven architectures leveraging Apache Kafka for Real Time data streaming and messaging.
• Develop, configure, and optimize Spring-Kafka integrations to ensure reliable and high-throughput message processing.
• Participate in architectural discussions, performance tuning, and scalability improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design RESTful APIs and integrate with other microservices.
• Ensure best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems, ensuring high availability and performance.

• 6+ years professional experience building large scale Real Time cloud systems.
• Strong programming and debugging skills, with proficiency in Java.
• Strong experience in Java, Spring and Gradle, with hands-on expertise in Spring Boot frameworks and Spring-Kafka integration.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes is a plus).
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.

This position requires a commitment to contribute to our collaborative culture by working in-office Three days weekly.
