How you'll make an impact The Role of the Account Manager
The Account Manager (AM) plays a vital supporting role within Gallagher's Private Equity practice, partnering with the Account Executive (AE) to deliver outstanding service to portfolio companies. While the AE drives strategic direction and manages complex engagements, the AM focuses on ensuring flawless execution of day-to-day service needs, coordinating renewals, and maintaining coverage. Additionally, this role offers the opportunity to lead and serve as the strategic partner for non-complex accounts.
This position demands strong technical insurance expertise, responsiveness, and a client-first approach. The AM is responsible for managing service workflows, identifying coverage gaps, and collaborating with diligence, claims, and specialty teams to provide a seamless client experience. By prioritizing operational excellence and proactive communication, the AM plays a key role in driving client retention, satisfaction, and efficiency across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Account Executive (AE) with diligence reviews and calls, particularly for non-complex deals.
- Respond promptly to same-day requests for policy reviews or addressing red flag issues.
- Deliver plug-and-play solutions with minimal need for follow-up from the AE or diligence team.
- Oversee service delivery by delegating tasks effectively and ensuring accountability for efficient completion.
- Uphold a 24-hour response time standard, ensuring clear communication and avoiding unanswered inquiries.
- Proactively identify opportunities for renewal restructuring and address coverage gaps to optimize client outcomes.
- Collaborate with diligence, claims, and specialty teams to ensure seamless execution and a high-quality client experience.
Objectives for Success
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of the pace and expectations within PE-backed environments and how insurance supports operational goals.
- Apply basic knowledge of balance sheets, EBITDA, and accruals to align coverage and develop effective renewal strategies.
- Collaborate closely with the Account Executive (AE) to execute client strategies, bringing in necessary resources and managing day-to-day service needs.
- Understand client values and leverage Gallagher's solutions to address their needs, focusing on problem-solving rather than selling.
- Exhibit expertise in negotiating coverage and managing renewals with retail carriers to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Support the AE in identifying restructuring opportunities based on acquisitions or shifts in performance.
- Maintain a strong understanding of how lines of coverage interact, proactively flagging and addressing gaps.
- Participate in diligence or deal review calls, providing technical insights to support the AE and producers.
- Operate with a service-first mindset and a sense of urgency to consistently meet client expectations.
- Adapt to supporting multiple producers and adjust effectively to varying working styles.
- Deliver clear, concise updates and documentation to clients and internal teams to ensure alignment and transparency.

About You Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with 5+ years client service and/or claims management experience OR - High School degree/GED with 8+ years client service and/or claims management experience
Property and Casualty Insurance License

The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
