Overview

Intuit is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Principal Engineer to join AI/ML Platform team. Our charter is to build the platform that enables Classic AI and Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions at scale. This engineer will be part of a vibrant team of Engineers and will be responsible for leading the design, development, and deployment of end-to-end systems that solve challenging problems to scale AI adoption at Intuit.

Responsibilities
  • Accelerate the pace of innovation by building quick prototypes for experimentation and scaling successful prototypes into deployed production systems.
  • Create a multi-year tech roadmap that enables our team to stay on the leading edge of the rapidly evolving MLOps landscape and leverage the best in class technologies to deliver customer benefits.
  • Drive key architectural decisions and contribute to Intuit's AI/ML platform architecture and strategy.
  • Champion technical excellence and operational rigor.
  • Mentor junior team mates helping them to grow their skills and expertise.
Qualifications
  • Tech/M. Tech in computer science or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years' experience architecting and designing systems with expertise in developer tools.
  • Experience with MLOps on cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Expertise in programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala and familiarity with ML modeling frameworks.
  • Basic knowledge of AI and Machine Learning.
  • Worked on highly complex technical challenges delivering durable platform capabilities leveraged across the organization.
  • Experience driving for results across cross-functional teams while maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Self starter and have a bias for action.
  • High rigor on engineering and operational excellence.
  • Experience with leveraging, contributing to and leading open source community projects.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate effectively with Data Scientists, Product Managers, Program Managers, and Platform Engineers to build solutions that delight our customers.

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs. Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing fair pay for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender. The expected base pay range for this position is:
