About the jobThe role of the Concrete Estimator is to provide accurate bid proposals and scope analysis for potential concrete projects. Additional responsibilities include quote review, project management assistance, and material purchasing.

Prepare pricing estimates on new projects and estimate prices on change orders to existing contracts. Skills and Qualifications: At least 3+ years of concrete estimating experience Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Concrete construction background Field experience as a Project Manager is desirable Critical thinker/planner Excellent communication and relationship building skills Ability to clearly articulate bid inclusions, exclusions, and proposal clarifications with owners and subcontractors Ability to maintain focus with minimal supervision Ability to read and interpret technical and legal documents. Demonstrate a strong understanding of conceptual estimating, estimating techniques, and cost control Demonstrate understanding and knowledge about estimating processes and delivery methods Knowledge of contract types and deal structures Duties & Responsibilities: Develop project leads Read and interpret project specifications and plans Prepare detailed, comprehensive and accurate quantity take-offs Generate estimates and proposals for selected projects Actively pursue bid projects with timely follow up and awareness of project status Prepare a "take-off" of materials included in the job Develop and maintain positive relationships and ethical practices with owners, consultants, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers Assist operations department during construction Assist operations with awarded contracts and projects as required - may include estimating/pricing change orders and facilitating resolution of any contractual issues Assist in developing and maintaining existing estimating productivity database Benefits: Medical, vision, dental and life insurance Paid time off, holidays and vacations 401k with company match.
