We've got what you're looking for.Job Description:In this role you will be engaged in drainage design engineering work. You will prepare and review drawings for final design, construction, detour, and erosion control and prepare and review design reports.

This position can be hired at a more experienced level as well! These positions can be based in either Washington, DC, Baltimore, or Centreville, VA.In this role, you will act as the primary interface with internal design teams and take the lead for all Drainage/Hydrology aspects of major Transportation projects with the clients and our JV partnersYou will be a key member of our Road/Highway Practice to assist in executing these projects across the state and help us identify new opportunities to expand our Drainage practice.Projects may include hydrologic analysis, inlet design, storm sewer design, ditch and channel design, cross drain design, retention/detention basin design, water quality analysis, adequate outfall design and design of on and off-site drainage facilities.

As a leader, you must be able to demonstrate excellent design expertise in these areas, as well as mentor and lead engineers in the preparation plan documents and reports, such as storm-water plans and permit applications for highway projects, drainage criteria documentation, drainage design reports, and pond siting reportsYou will be responsible for overseeing the civil design team's technical deliverables and meeting project schedules from design through construction. Using your technical expertise, you will ensure the highest quality of engineering is put forth to meet all design criteria requirements. Our Lead Project Managers are heavily involved in identifying new opportunities within the project and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within pre-identified budget and scope;Project manager will stay technically hands-on throughout the life of the project, managing the project through final execution.

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)15+ years or more of related work experience in Drainage/Hydrology design, including project management or supervisory/managerial experience of engineers, and designers.Interest and the ability to function in a leadership capacity and manage a team of engineers, designers and technicians.Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required.
