ABOUT TEAMThe Data Governance function is part of the Data Services team and is responsible for ensuring that data governance processes are documented and implemented in alignment with Morgan Stanley policy. This includes data quality, catalogs, business ownership, and sensitive data tracking. Data Services encompasses a broader mandate that includes a team of data analysts responsible for ensuring external data coming into Parametric is complete, of good quality, and fit for purposegeneral Description (role)The Senior Data Governance Analyst will partner with the Data Governance Manager to implement and support Parametric's data governance program, with particular focus on alignment with Morgan Stanley policies, procedures, reporting, and tooling.

This role will engage with Parametric operational and technology teams, as well as the Morgan Stanley Mumbai-based data governance team, to ensure the implementation meets internal requirements. Communication of project status and updates to Data Services management will be a key component of this work.Primary Responsibilities- Support the implementation of Parametric Data Governance policy under the direction of the Data Governance Manager.

- Act as the on-site Parametric data governance specialist in Mumbai, becoming the local point of contact for internal and external projects and meetings.- Engage with colleagues within Morgan Stanley Mumbai Data Governance to support standard data governance policies and procedures, including:o Data glossary and meta-data management in Collibrao Data Quality Managemento Sensitive data managemento Data analytics- Support the implementation of governance documentation, data quality standards, data protection standards and adoption requirements- Help develop metrics and reporting around data availability, ownership, quality.QualificationsJob QUALIFICATIONSSKILL SETRequired Experience: 7+ yearsSkill set: MS Excel/Data management toolsPrimary Skills- Undergraduate degree in Economics, Finance, Technology or related field - 7+ years of professional experience within business functions such as Data, Technology, Finance, or Operations.

- 4+ years' experience with data governance as a practice, including data quality, meta data management, and data analytics and reporting (business intelligence).- 2+ years' experience with data management tools such as Collibra or other industry-leading products, including exposure to data glossaries, meta data, and data quality.- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities- Proficient in MS Excel including experience with large data set analysisGood to Have Skills- Knowledge of financial industry data and best practices- Experience with Data Visualization tools for business intelligence (Tableau, PowerBI) Morgan Stanley is an equal opportunities employer.
