Our solutions aim to include all aspects of preventative care, disease awareness, diagnosis, treatment options, side effect management, patient care programs, adherence, and long-term maintenance of care. The technologies employed to create these solutions include mobile, web, ML algorithms, conversational AI, wearables and eMRs. The Senior Manager, Software Engineering is responsible for the technical design, engineering and delivery of patient-facing digital solutions.

This individual selects the delivery team members, evaluates alternative design approaches and trade-offs, directs engineering activity, and ensures the overall quality of the solution developed. The Senior Manager, Software Engineering has the skills and experience to both contribute directly to coding (including testing, debugging, documenting) plus oversee and coach the engineering work of others.Role ResponsibilitiesOversees and provides direction for the estimation, technical design, engineering and deployment of patient solutionsTakes technical responsibility across all stages and iterations of software development.

Well versed in Agile principles and oversees one or more development squads within scrum teamsMaintain an outcome orientation, ensuring technical plans and delivery align with the Why Maintains in-depth knowledge of platform services and roadmaps, leverages knowledge and relationships to inform design decisions and remove roadblocks.Work with vendor partners to appropriately staff delivery teams, ensure team members have the skills and behaviors to be successful. Deep understanding of web-based and mobile application technologies and conceptsThe primary skills required for this role are TypeScript, Vue.js. This role requires experience managing development teams that work with the Vue.js framework or similar javascript frameworks.

Demonstrated experience delivering solutions in a number of modern frameworks (ie. node.js, Angular, Laravel, Ionic (mobile development), Swift, Kotlin, Python, Vue.js)Experience with Atlassian (Jira, Confluence), GitHub, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and cloud applicationsExperience operating in DevOps and Agile project team environment.
