Position Summary

Manages a team of end- user IT support, including computer hardware, workstations, software applications, network connectivity, conference rooms and mobile support for our local Houston, TX offices as well as remote locations.

  • Role provides the opportunity to work in hybrid environment, working both virtually and in office when required.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting for all computer hardware, for approximately 1,300 users.
  • Coordinate and assist all IT Departments in supporting new software/hardware installations, applications upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • Mentor team on client support, ticket management and asset management.
  • Serve as an escalation point for hardware, software and basic network issues.
  • Manages hardware purchasing and inventory to ensure standard levels are maintained for distribution.
  • Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements.
  • Develop and interpret organizational goals, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate work assignments for the purpose of ensuring services are delivered in a timely manner and within budget.
  • Provide general, on-the-job training to new department staff members.
  • Provide support for all mobile devices and tablets.
  • Manage and support all conference rooms including the audio and video equipment.
  • Manage support all other miscellaneous infrastructure, including video conferencing, printers, plotters, IP phones, switches/routers, and security systems.
  • Work is generally performed using computer equipment in an indoor and outdoor environment. Setup or maintenance of some peripheral equipment may require work in areas such as data rooms or wiring closets with restricted room or movement.
  • Responsibilities may require evening and weekend work and/or travel in response to needs of the systems being supported.


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical helpdesk/troubleshooting role.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing a technical IT team.
  • Experience troubleshooting Microsoft products, networked devices and connectivity issues.
  • Experience installing and troubleshooting Dell hardware.

  • A+ certification

  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations.

Additional Information

This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
