Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is bidding on a contract which supports the Department of the Navys Integrated Command and Control (C2) and Intelligence (IC2&I) Division with research, planning, design, engineering, prototype development, software development, integration, testing, and specified technology solutions.

We are hiring for a Senior Information Security Analyst/Cybersecurity Specialist to perform as the functional expert for planning, implementing, upgrading, or monitoring security measures for the protection of complex DoD/IC communication systems and networks.

This position will work in the Patuxent River/St. Inigoes, Maryland region

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:
  • Provide advanced knowledge of IA policy or technical cybersecurity solutions necessary to assess system vulnerabilities for security risks and propose and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure the safe operation of complex DoD/IC communication systems and networks.
  • Oversee the development of system IA documentation to support certification of compliance to applicable standards including DoDI 8510.01 Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Information Technology (IT), Intelligence Community Directive 705, and Intelligence Community Directive 503.
  • Evaluate emerging cybersecurity technologies for potential integration into multiple enterprise communication systems.
  • Perform penetration testing, cyber forensics, and system security engineering to develop mitigation strategies that reduce risk for communication systems and networks with a high cyber-attack risk.

Minimum Requirements

  • 8 years of Direct Experience working as an Information Security Analyst/Cybersecurity Specialist with the coordinated Masters Degree detailed below
  • Of the minimum of 8 years of required Security Analyst/Cybersecurity Specialist experience, at least 5 years of practical experience performing on DoD/IC communication systems or networks is mandatory.
  • In addition, either a broad background in numerous cybersecurity technologies/policy organizations or have deep background in a specific cyber technology such as:
  • Cross Domain Solutions, Multi-Level Security (MLS)- Host Based Security Systems - Identity Management Solutions- Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems - Computer Hacking Forensics - Public Key Infrastructure - Mobile Device Management - Wireless Security Solutions COMSEC Cryptography - Other emerging cyber technology solution.
  • Masters Degree in any of the following: Engineering or engineering discipline; Computer science or IT discipline; Technical discipline
  • OR
  • In Lieu of a Masters Degree, 12 total years of experience working as a Information Security Analyst/Cybersecurity Specialist is required WITH a Bachelors Degree
  • Required Certification: (ISC) Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+)/Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+)/PenTest+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)/Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).

  • Must be a US Citizen.
