Position Objective

The main goal of this position is to be a dedicated resource to properly and expeditiously delegate all WPH (Workplace Hub) related requests. As such, the incumbent will be responsible for managing and monitoring the various steps and/or teams involved in fulfilling all requests while ensuring timely completion.

Essential Job Functions

  • Field requests from a diverse (IT technologies) and global team and triage requests into the KM US IT organization.
  • Review and evaluate all requests to be project managed with other IT department areas such as Data Center Systems, Network, Security, and KM Business Units.
  • Analyze all IT requests to define the components related to a series of custom developed applications. Once components are identified, distribute information and project assignment to the correct teams for completion.
  • Track details of requests on global (round the clock timeframes).
  • Be aware of, and summarize, requests across different requesting units (who may be operating in application/functional silos).
  • Identify and escalate requests that KM US IT cannot satisfy or that do not fit into our environment.
  • Work closely with the Application Support team, Application Developers, Internal IT, and KM Executive team to ensure that all work requests are identified and tracked.
  • Apply accepted security guidelines to cutting edge development processes and solutions.
  • Assist requestors by creating more detailed documentation regarding the request, as needed.
  • Record, analyze and confirm business requirements in functional specification documents.
  • Understand data integrity concerns and ensure that KM data is protected.
  • Build and maintain relationships with business and IT teams to ensure business requirements are being met in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate system maintenance between IT, Developers, Support teams, and business units.
  • Monitor projects from beginning to end. Ensure all policies and procedures are followed and deadlines are met, as required.
  • Provide timely status updates to the Manager on all work requests and issues/concerns.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

  • Ability to effectively communicate with, and liaise between, business and IT stakeholders to articulate complex business requirements.
  • Broad IT background and understanding of KM BUS IT standards and capabilities.
  • Solid understanding of how new technology proposals/requests would be handled by KM US IT and if not, how an alternate proposal could satisfy the request.
  • Be technical enough to guide the KM US IT team in understanding what is being requested and getting it accomplished.
  • Good communication skills - written, verbal, and presentation.
  • A strong understanding of application development methodologies and processes.
  • General foundation of IT technologies.
  • A good understanding of IT security principles.
  • Understand access management principals and controls.
  • Ability to multitask various parallel projects and track them using Project Management principals.
  • Able to communicate technical data clearly and professionally with staff; conveys technical information in an easily understood manner.
  • Effectively manage multiple tasks under pressure and tight deadlines. Readiness to accept, and adapt quickly to change.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Intermediate level of MS Office skills with Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Experience, Educational Reqts and Certifications

  • College degree required.
  • 1-5 years of technical professional experience.
