Responsibilities

Summary: Responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of the project while remaining aligned with the strategy, commitments and goals of the organization. Handles the work of vendors and contractors in the completion of work. Uses project management tools to plan, monitor, budget, and report status of projects.

Basic Duties and Responsibilities: include those listed below. Other duties may be assigned. This position is a Full time (minimum 40 hours per week) on-site position.

• Coordinate with team members and vendors to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
• Meet with project team members to identify and resolve issues.
• Submit project deliverables and ensure that they adhere to quality standards.
• Prepare status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.
• Establish effective project communication plans and ensure their execution.
• Facilitate change requests to ensure that all parties are advised of the impacts on schedule and budget.
• Coordinate the development of user manuals, training materials, and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation and turnover of the process or system to the clients.
• Identify and develop new opportunities with clients.
• Acquire customer acceptance of project deliverables.
• Conduct post-project evaluation and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
• Implement and lead changes when vital to meet project deliverables.
• Manage the design of machinery, plans and develop projects, tests, modifies and builds solutions to technical problems.
• Ensure processes are safe, functional, and validated to perform at their design capability to deliver high quality products.
• Support and improve the process for manufacturing by implementing practices that support reliability and maintainability.
• Responsible for new and existing equipment and facility projects. Reviews assigned projects to define, design, develop and deploy the most workable solution and minimize resource requirements.

• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the perfect execution of multiple projects.
• Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
• Develop a detailed project plan to supervise and track progress.
• Lead changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
• Measure performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques.
• Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders.
• Perform risk management to minimize potential risks.
• Establish and manage relationships with third parties/vendors.
• Build and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis.

• ERP project oversight.

• Use and continually develop leadership skills.
• Observes all Company, housekeeping, safety and plant policies and procedures.
• Has strong written, oral, communication and facilitation skills.
• Cultivates a focus of continuous improvement.
• Keeps Engineering Manager informed of problems and meaningful matters as they arise.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Coordinates the work of vendors and contractors in the completion of work including but not limited to costs, schedule, completeness and quality of work, safety, and environmental factors.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in project management or engineering required plus 5 years' related engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing setting; OR an equivalent combination of related post graduate education and/or experience. Must be able to lead all aspects of projects throughout the project life cycle. PMI certification a plus.

Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
