  • Manage and drive end-to-end process design, improvements, automation and management of the release engineering practice. Includes working as an effective liaison between the front office, business units, operations and other technology groups to ensure that client needs are addressed while maintaining alignment to the Bank s goals and strategy.
  • Constructs and manages an overall release management schedule with milestones showing key dependencies between components of the release, key phase transitions for various projects, shared testing phases, etc..
  • Release Manager proactively monitors and controls all release aspects and provides corrective actions to appropriate stakeholders as needed. Works with the project managers, technology leads, quality leads and technical support managers to ensure that risks and issues are assessed and managed on an ongoing basis
  • Supports additional Release Management activities, such as develop or revise processes, develop options and recommendations, identify risks and develop mitigation strategies, drive cross-team collaboration and agreement, provide guidance and direction to teams, etc.
  • Perform prioritized planning and execution of the product development and release schedules while iteratively defining & refining development processes as the team grows.
  • Create and maintain an open and transparent environment that values speed and innovation.
Qualifications Experience & Education
  • Master s degree in Computer Science or related degree preferred
  • 10 + years of experience delivering enterprise solutions to financial services organizations as a release and devOps manager
Professional Skills/Competency
  • Experience with Release Management and configuration management and release engineering concepts & practices
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and continuous delivery pipelines
  • Have experience to managing and continuously enhancing the CI/CD pipeline and process to increase automation and adoption
  • Familiarity with DevOps stack (CI & CD) and other dependency management and build tools such as Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, Ant and Ivy
  • Experience with Linux, microservices and AWS cloud
  • Experience of working on large process improvement and/or automation projects and programs
  • Ability to work with large number of stakeholders and manage conflicts while setting directions and best practices
  • Experience in producing Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans
  • Continually work towards making improvements in the release process
  • Experience leading and coordinating the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans, checklists and communications.
  • Familiar with database concepts and SQL.
  • Organized and capable of managing multiple complex projects on tight deadlines without compromising quality, and comfortable working with dynamically evolving requirements
  • Strong business orientation with broad experience in wealth management processes and change initiatives

Mental/Physical Requirements:

  • Hearing must be sufficient to understand a conversation at a normal volume, including telephone calls and in person.
  • Speech must be coherent to clearly convey or exchange information, including the giving and receiving of assignments and/or directions.
  • Position involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
  • Must be able to travel in a limited capacity.
