Description Engility is seeking a Systems Engineer for its FAA National Airspace System (NAS) Lifecycle Planning (NLP) team. The position requires the successful candidate to assist in the development of products, status reporting, and various briefings and reports related to the Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen) Research, Engineering, and Development project planning and project implementation. Duties include the coordination and development of products for the NextGen Portfolio managers and performing technical and quality assurance reviews of products to ensure alignment; assisting with status reporting and preparation of various briefings on NextGen efforts; conducting research, evaluations, analyses, and studies; and presenting recommendations/solutions to meet short and long-term project/program planning requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • A Bachelor of Science degree or higher in engineering discipline
  • Must have a minimum of 6 years related experience and working knowledge of the FAA NextGen organization, particularly the NAS Lifecycle Planning and Management Services organizations, and the Air Traffic Organization Program Management Office
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to interact positively with multiple customers
  • Experience using MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)
  • Ability to satisfy FAA resume approval and security requirements.
Desired Qualifications Familiarity with FAA systems and capital budget formulation is a plus.
